Gay Tours For Singles And Ecuador

Monday, March 15th, 2010

Although a small country, Ecuador boasts a wide array of geographic and cultural diversity, including a variety of indigenous groups with distinctive cultures and languages. From snow-capped volcanoes and rainforests to tropical shorelines, Ecuador has varying landscapes and climates, making it wonderful for gay tours or exciting adventures a great idea any time of the year.

The Galapagos Islands are often the main reason visitors come to Ecuador, but the mainland also has numerous sightseeing opportunities and activities that make Ecuador gay tours memorable and fulfilling. Whether you are seeking an adventurous outdoor vacation, a spiritual retreat or gay travel that includes experiencing Quito’s LGBT community, relaxing on the beach and exploring tropical rainforests, you are sure to find that Ecuador is a beautiful, interesting, diverse country. As soon as you take your first step off of the airplane, it will be easy to see why Ecuador is such a highly popular travel destination.

Travelers will find that Quito is largely the center of LGBT life and has the most visible community. This is particularly true in the La Mariscal neighborhood, which is the location of the Quito Pride celebration each year in June, as well as the district where LGBT-friendly clubs, bars, cafs and other establishments can be found. This bohemian neighborhood is a popular afternoon hangout and is the place to go for a night on the town on Fridays and Saturdays.

Quito sits at 9,200 feet above sea level against the backdrop of the 13,000-foot Pichincha volcano. The historic district is recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site, and the streets throughout several neighborhoods are lined with art galleries, shops and quaint cafs. There are several major cultural attractions that may be of interest to those on gay vacations to Ecuador, including the Museo de la Ciudad, the Centro de Arte Contemporaneo, the Capilla del Hombre Guayasamin and the Parque el Ejido, where visitors will find an open-air market filled with local handicrafts.

Legal rights have expanded over the last decade or so, which has made gay vacations to Ecuador more enjoyable; however, there is still a strong air of machismo and public discretion is advised in most areas. One way to increase security and ensure that gay vacations to Ecuador are safe and fun is to participate in gay tours organized by travel professionals well-versed in arranging community excursions and ensuring that visitors experience all of Ecuador’s glory with minimal concerns.

This will allow you to relax and get the most out of your journey, while professional travel organizers take care of the logistics and ensure that you will have the chance to experience the many historic, cultural and natural attractions that Ecuador offers.

Gay Spiritual Travel

Friday, March 12th, 2010

There is not much free time in our daily lives, and so often we are multi-tasking throughout each day, that we can lose track of the important things in life. This is why our vacation time is so critical to our well-being and personal growth. Today, there are many vacation options available to meet these requirements.

There are solo vacations, or vacations that include family or a small group of friends. Travelling with people that share your interests and life experience, is another way to go. This is where gay spirituality exploration becomes important for the gay community.

On gay vacations, our gayness is one thing we all have in common. This shared life experience can only add to our vacation experience. Bonds are quickly formed in the group due to our shared experiences in life.

People that were at first strangers, become friends quickly and easily. This is one reason gay vacations are great way to travel. Knowing that we are understood by those around us adds an immediate sense of comfort to the group.

This understanding helps us to relax and open ourselves up and allows us to be a little more vulnerable. When we’re relaxed and open, we’re able to go a little deeper into the vacation experience. This allows us recover from life’s stresses more quickly and more fully.

A vacation with men and women that also share our intentions for the vacation deepens our sense of recovery. Spiritually connecting to the world around us and to ourselves is one shared intention. Now we share two important things, our gay spirit and a desire to grow spiritually.

Gay vacations that include an exploration of the world and also an exploration of ourselves, can be very powerful. With the support of the others in the group we are able to let our walls down even further and live a freer life. And that’s why we took a vacation in the first place, to be freer of life’s responsibilities.
